It’s been a little while since I (Mike McKee) ran a Drum Team event, and I was super excited to work with the fine folks at Burt’s Bees for their 2nd round with us!
However, on the way to the event, I was rear-ended by a car going way too fast…I’m ok, but the Drum Team trailer was NOT! I immediately called my band/assistant/business partner and the whole team rallied and figured out a way to pivot and make the gig happen. It was quite a "meta” experience have a team bonding moment on the way to a team building event!
We made it to the event in time, and although some gear was broken, we still made the event happen and everyone had a blast (including me, as you can see!
